Feeling down in the winter?

It’s no lie that here in Rochester, NY it is gloomy for what feels like forever. With the lack of sunlight and seasons changing it is no surprise many of us here are affected by seasonal affective disorder (A.K.A. seasonal depression). Here are some tips to help you while feeling down this season:

  1. Make use of sunlight, or get yourself a therapy lamp. Yes, those lights really can be beneficial.

  2. Make plans with friends

  3. Start a new hobby

  4. Create a new routine

  5. Get adequate sleep

  6. Clean up your eating habits

  7. Move your body

  8. Keep a gratitude journal

  9. Do some guided meditations

  10. Take a walk outside
